My name is Will Ryan, I am a 470 sailor from Australia and just returned from Rio a few weeks ago.

I have been wearing Bigfoot trapezes for the last 10 years; and there is no way I would even contemplate a regatta (let alone even a fun sail) in any other trapeze harness than a Bigfoot one! I had a series of Back issues as a younger sailor, with most of them either as a result of, or made worse by, incorrectly fitting harness which didn’t correctly spread the load at the right ergonomic points. I was really lucky to be introduced to Marc, and since beginning to wear Bigfoot harnesses I haven’t had any issues.

The spreader bar particularly in the Bigfoot harness is great in making the harness more comfortable and to protect your back. It is also particularly good in 470s due to the twisting style you use while trapezing, and now also with the upwind ‘pumping’ techniques that are becoming common it is helpful to make the movements more effective.

I use the same harness on the 18foot skiffs, my foiling A-cat catamaran, and in anything else i can sail!

I now have 8 harnesses, but I still have my very first Bigfoot harness and it works perfectly and is still comfortable (The colour has faded from the Sun! But that is about it!) so be assured you are getting a great product!

My Bigfoot harness is without a doubt the finest trapeze harness I have ever worn. The combination of lightweight construction, superior materials, and perfect load-sharing fit make this product vastly superior to any other I have encountered in my 30 years of trapezing. Whether you are serious about your performance or just want a more comfortable sailing experience; treat yourself to a Bigfoot.

Would Michael Jordan step on the court without the best shoes? Would Nadal step on the court without his favorite racket? That is how important your harness should be to you; it is the single most important piece of sailing gear you own.

I sailed 470 and Laser2 in the 1990’s and have sailed 49er and i-14 since 1997. I have use multiple types of harnesses. Some very simple where all my weight rested painfully on my groin, some too complicated with too many adjustments and separate fastening around the legs, but equally painful.
I used some with flaps designed to hide the adjustments, but unfortunately every single line would get caught in there.

Since I ordered my Bigfoot harness, all those problems went away. It is custom made to my body…. a great way to get rid of the fasteners. The only adjustment is on the shoulders. It fit’s so perfect that the hook is always in the same place, I don’t need to be chasing it around which would slow down my tack.
I’m done shopping around. From now on all my harnesses will be Bigfoot.

I Purchased the BigFoot Bags Elite MTB Hard Case a month or so prior to an overseas riding trip to Whistler BC, Canada, to transport my Downhill bike (Ironhorse Sunday). After a fair amount of research into many kinds of Mountain Bike transport bags/cases, the Main reason i chose to go with this case was due to its rugged design, along with the added protection from the PVC wheel blocks and padded wheel bags that help prevent damage to frame/fork extremities and wheels.

I would encourage anyone searching for the ultimate protection for their loved Mountain bike to check out the BigFoot Elite MTB Hard Case, as i am very happy with mine, and hope i get to use it much more in the near future, and after one trip to Canada and back, it looks like it has many more trips left in it.

Marc has been working with me developing this harness over the past year.
