Slider Hook Harness
Advantage: asymmetric stance makes it easier to look to windward whilst trapezing, especially when hiking out hard.
Method: tacking trapeze hook slides from side to side within 2 slots cut into the UNIQUE Bigfoot trapeze harness spreader bar.
Technique: after hooking on, move the trapeze hook aft, either by hand or under body weight, so that you can easily twist your HIPS forward. The posture puts more weight on your aft leg, puts more of my weight onto your forward hip (and that side of the harness) and reduces load on your NECK and BACK because you no longer need to twist when trying to look to windward.
Going downwind, you can twist and shift the hook back to the centre or forward side to make it easier to look behind or talk to your skipper.
